Ehovahs do they are Christians or not????
"Jehovah" is the personal name of Almighty God, the Sovereign of the Universe, the Creator. "Jehovah" translates the Hebrew Tetragrammaton into English, and is to be used with reverence and respect. An adherent among Jehovah's Witnesses is most certainly not "a Jehovah" but rather is "a Witness".

.. ..(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah

Yes, Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians.

A few self-described "Christians" have claimed that the title applies uniquely to those who believe precisely as they do. They apparently take for themselves a role which properly belongs to Christ himself.

(Matthew 7:21-23) Not everyone saying to me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, ...and perform many powerful works in your name? And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness.

Ironically, the bible most closely associates being "Christian" with preaching about Christ and Christ's teachings. Review all three times the bible uses the term "Christian" and note that the context connects the term with:

"declaring the good news"

'teaching quite a crowd'

'open eyes, turn from dark to light'

"uttering sayings of truth"

"persuade"

"keep on glorifying"

(Acts 11:20-26) [The early disciples of Jesus] began talking to the Greek-speaking people, declaring the good news of the Lord Jesus... and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.

(Acts 26:17-28) [Jesus said to Paul] I am sending you, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God... Paul said: I am not going mad, Your Excellency Festus, but I am uttering sayings of truth and of soundness of mind. ...Do you, King Agrippa, believe the Prophets? I know you believe. But Agrippa said to Paul: In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.

(1 Peter 4:14-16) If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy... But if he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name

So why do anti-Witnesses try to hijack the term "Christian" and hide its Scriptural implications? Because anti-Witnesses recognize that it is the preaching work that makes it clear that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are by far the most prominent followers of Christ:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded
Reply:Wow.

Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians.

Christians follow Christ.

Jehovah's Witnesses follow Christ.

And Jehovah's Witnesses do believe that Jesus is the son of God.

And I hope you feel better. Croups? Dugouts? Crests? Apospasma?

Wow. You should leave that stuff alone if it's gonna affect you that way.

Reply:To respond to your last statement, Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians and do belive that Jesus is the son of God. I am assuming that English is not your native language, and I am sorry that I did not understand a lot of what you wrote, but I know you did better in the English language than I could have done in your language, so I give you credit for that. :)

All the best to you.
Reply:Being a Christian means you follow the laws the Christ and his father Jehovah set for us.

Yes Jehovah wittnesses are chrisitan and they beilve in the bible they just dont like to be lumped with "Christiandom" because the majority of Christiandom practice things that go AGAINST Christ's teachings.

1-They do not vote

2- They do not go to war

3-They obey GOD as ruler, rather then men.

4-They dont celebrate pagan holidays

etc etc there are a ton of other things that thankfully separate Jehovahs wittnesses from all other religions and that is what jesus said to keep seperate from the world.
Reply:There are true witnesses of Jehovah and false.

If you read Revelation 2 and 3, you will see what Jesus tells all the believers, and notice there are good and bad in the denominations.

One church is lukewarm, so he is not happy with them, but all need to repent.

I claim to be a true worshiper of Jehovah.

Just because there were bad kings in Israel, that did not invalidate there were many who loved Jehovah.

The only way to the Father Jehovah is through Jesus his Son, said Jesus. [Our King]
Reply:Nice rant. From what I read, I think, you are asking are Witnesses Christians. Yes we are.

Meanwhile, in a question, you aren't supposed to proivde the answer.
Reply:Fundamentalist Christians like the Baptists or Pentecostals, as well as the Roman Catholics do not believe JW's to be Christians. I am agnostic on this subject, since I don't consider it important
Reply:WHAT????? It sounds like you been smoking something funny. Define Christian. It means to be Christ like. JWs are certainly following his pattern. They are Christians!
Reply:Lay off the booze.
Reply:What was that, again?!
Reply:no they are not
Reply:someone dropped a typo bomb there me thinks
Reply:The only way that a JW can become is Christian is by asking Jesus into their heart, like the rest of us have to be saved. A church cannot save anyone.
Reply:It's Jehovah's Witnesses for one, and we are Christian,

we do believe Jesus was God's son.
Reply:Easiest way to chase a JW from your door is to suggest swapping literature. I've never seen them move faster. I wasn't suggesting a swap to be antagonistic, I just wanted them to look over my lit, too, so we could discuss differences more intelligently when they returned. The husband was interested, but the wife was determined to get her husband out of my doorway. Didn't get any return visits!

Had a family friend join JW for a short while. She quit after a year. Must have been the liberty she saw in the lives of those of us that attended mainstream denominations. Not celebrating your own kids' birthdays is a bugger, isn't it?
Reply:No.

the Jehovah's Witness religion Christian?

The answer to the question is, "No. It is not Christian." Like all non-Christian cults, the Jehovah's Witness organization distorts the essential doctrines of Christianity. It denies the deity of Christ, His physical resurrection, and salvation by grace. This alone makes it non-Christian. To support its erring doctrines, the Watchtower organization (which is the author and teacher of all official Jehovah's Witness theology), has even altered the Bible to make it agree with its changing and non-Christian teachings.

Typical with cults that use the Bible to support its position is a host of interpretive errors:

Taking verses out of their immediate context.

Refusing to read verses in the entire biblical context.

Inserting their theological presuppositions into the text.

Altering the Biblical text to suit their needs.

Latching onto one verse to interpret a host of others.

Changing the meanings of words.

Proclaiming some passages to be figurative when they contradict their doctrines.

Adding to the Word of God.

Additionally, the Jehovah's Witness organization requires of its members regular weekly attendance at their "Bible Study" meetings where they are repeatedly indoctrinated with anti-Christian teachings. This is done by reading the Watchtower magazine, following along with what it says, reading the questions it asks, and reciting the answers it gives. In other words, the Watchtower Organization carefully trains its members to let the Organization do their thinking for them. For confirmation of this, please read Does the Watchtower organization control the JW's thinking?

The Witnesses are told they will be persecuted when they go door to door teaching their doctrines. They are further told that this is simply the enemy fighting against God's organization because they are in "the truth." So, when someone disagrees with them, they are conditioned to reflect on what the Watchtower has told them. They then feel confirmed in being in God's true organization on earth (like all cults claim). They are strongly encouraged to have friends and acquaintances that are only JWs, thereby keeping outside examination to a minimum. They are told to shun those who leave their group, that way, there is no way to see why someone has left and no way to find out that they are in error from those who have found the truth in Christ. They are conditioned to shy away from any real biblically knowledgeable person. An example of this is frequently found on the Internet. I was once banned from a Jehovah's Witness chat room after I not only answered their objections to the Trinity and deity of Christ, but challenged them in return. Subsequently, my name was passed around to all other Jehovah's Witness rooms where I was banned from them as well. This is a frequent occurrence on the Internet where the Jehovah's Witnesses are alive and well. It is obvious that critical examination of their doctrines is not encouraged by the Watchtower Organization.

The Jehovah's Witnesses consider themselves to be Christians because they believe they are serving the true and living God. Like many cults, they think they are the only true church on earth. Yet, they deny the Trinity, the deity of Christ, the personhood of the Holy Spirit, Jesus' physical resurrection, and salvation by grace through faith.

The Jehovah's Witnesses are discouraged from looking into Jehovah's Witness history or old Watchtower literature which is replete with contradictions, altered doctrines, and false prophecies. Instead, they are indoctrinated repeatedly against basic Christian doctrines (Trinity, deity of Christ, etc) and into the notion that they alone are the true servants of God and that all others are either in "Christendom" or simply unbelievers.

Primarily, the Jehovah's Witness organization is a mind control organization that uses its people to pass out literature and send in "donations" to the headquarters in Brooklyn, New York.

"Thus the Bible is an organizational book and belongs to the Christian congregation as an organization, not to individuals, regardless of how sincerely they may believe that they can interpret the Bible." The Watchtower, Oct. 1, 1967. p. 587.

The Watchtower organization of the Jehovah's Witnesses is a non-Christian organization that uses its people to promulgate false doctrines, and collects "contributions" for distribution of a multitudinous amount of literature, and expand its grip into the lives of its members and their families.

It is a non-Christian cult.
Reply:Jehovah's Witnesses ARE NOT christian. They DO NOT believe that Jesus was the son of God. So they aren't.
